1. What is the minimum age to register?

You can register starting at 15 years and 10 months of age.

However, the legal age to obtain your learner's permit and drive (with an accompanying driver) is 16 years old.

2. How does the training work?

The standard driver's education course (Class 5) includes a minimum of 39 mandatory hours: Theory component: 24 hours divided into 12 modules. Practical component: 15 hours of on-road instruction.

3. I have a foreign driver's license. Do I have to start all over again?

If you're a newcomer, you don't have to start from scratch.

4. Can I use the driving school's car for the SAAQ exam?

Yes, most driving schools allow you to rent their vehicles for your road test.
